The 1UP Keyboard wrist rest

The packaging was fantastic.Under one layer of plastic packaging and one layer of cardboard, i was pleased to find the wrist rest in this soft "fleece" style bag with a branding note on it. The pouch is quite thick and durable enough to bring it around, if that is needed.
First impressions
I have never used a wrist rest with any of my keyboards before, (except the MX board 6.0, SPOILER ALERT: it wasn't great.) I take it out of the pouch attach the four rubber feets attached and line it up with my Pok3r in front of me.
As /u/skiwithpete always says "it is cool to the touch". The surface is cool, smooth and matte(because of the specific "Satin" surface treatment i got). When i use it with my Pok3r, i find it easier to press down the heavy clears, which for many is a challenging switch type. In terms of comfort, i think wood is a better material for a wrist rest than neoprene or other types of fabric. Mainly because of heat causes by your wrists moving around on the wrist rest as you type(friction) is almost non-existent on this piece of wood.
Texture
The wrist rest maintains the original wood texture, but smoother, much smoother. In the picture, it looks a but glossy, this isn't the case, it is definitely matte. The finish feels amazing, as i previously stated,
Layout
The wrist rest is symmetrical and all the corners and sides are rounded. This means that you can flip it every way you want to have the wood texture you want on the top. There are four rubber feets included that you can, if you want, anatch under to prevent sliding. I found this useful on my wood desk. The corners are rounded to be ergonomical and they are not sharp at all. It is difficult to see the angle of the rounded sides/corners, but it is enough if you don't angle your hands down to much, but keep them straight on.
The wrist rest are a bit bigger than my Pok3r, both in terms of length and in terms of width. It is great if you angle your hands on the wrist rests or prefer to have a lot of place to rest your wrists on(as demostrated in this GIF by Skiwithpete).
Conclusion
This wrist rest doesn't compromise on anything. It is a premium product with a premium price, and if you are looking for a product that will last, this is your best choice. Also, premium is very often cheaper in the long run.Sources; http://1upkeyboards.com/, https://www.reddit.com/user/skiwithpete
